April 29th, is most likely a national holiday in the UK at the moment. Today was the day when they got their happily every after!
If you happen to be living under a rock and do not know, Prince William finally marries long time girlfriend Kate Middleton and are now titled
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They were married today at Westminster Abbey and celebrated a grand reception at Buckingham Palace.
I had to miss watching their wedding live (because I had to get up early for work! Boo!). However, I did DVR the wedding so I could watch it after work. Heheh.. (which I am currently doing). Their wedding seemed beautiful! Kate's lovely wedding gown was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Her dress seemed to represent a modern day Grace Kelly gown. It was beautifully designed, and had a understated romantic innocence to it. The dress was traditional, yet modern in some ways. Prince William was in full military gear, along with his handsome brother Prince Harry and father Prince Charles. I mean, really? Who doesn't love a man in uniform? heh..
Here are just a few wedding photos of the wedding of the century:
First Kiss! Woo Hoo!
A Horse and Carriage? Of course! All princess must have a horse and carriage on their wedding day!
In front of Buckingham Palace
A Reception Wedding Dress... absolutely lovely!
And we must not forget about the yummy desserts!
Happy Wedding :)
